Encouraging connection through compassionate guidance

Thanks for stopping by my website!

I've devoted the last 25 years to helping people gain insight into who they want to become, for themselves and their loved ones. Whether you're dealing with difficult emotions such as:

  • Loneliness or resentment

  • Adjusting to life changes, such as being in the Sandwich Generation or Divorce

  • Struggling to set healthy boundaries, where you feel dizzy from all the roles you are trying to fulfill

  • Desiring to improve how you communicate because you feel like your partner doesn’t understand your needs

  • Suffering from disappointing relationships

I create a safe, comfortable space for you to be curious about your life and grow in your relationship with yourself and others.

My Services

Everyone has natural strengths. My approach builds on what's already working for you while helping you change the parts of your life you want to transform. While I'll guide our sessions, your active participation shapes how you grow and how our therapy unfolds. We'll work together to set realistic goals that fit your specific needs.

  • Are you ready for a new journey that will hold space for you to be exactly where you are at this moment with patience, warmth, and acceptance?  Is it time to let go of what you need to so that you can process the past, experience the present, and fully embrace what is in front of you? Individual Therapy can help you to get reacquainted with who you are, relieve stress, and create new opportunities for you.

  • Do you keep trying the same things that aren’t working in your marriage?  Do you feel stuck, unfulfilled, unsupported, and lonely?  Are you going through a life transition and just need a little extra support, but don’t want to do it alone?  Couples Therapy can change how you view your role in your relationship and who you want to become for your loved one, discover your longings and express them, as well as improve relationship prioritization, understanding, and enjoyment.

  • Do you feel misunderstood and need someone to help resolve specific conflicts with your teenagers, siblings, or parents? Have you been putting off difficult conversations for a long time?   Are you going through one of the following:  divorce, marriage, estrangement, aging parents, chronic illness, adolescence, or a relational rift that has left you feeling confused and bitter? Do you need help to begin this next chapter or persevere through frustration and fear?  Having a Family Therapist as a mediator moves conversations and relationships from disconnectedness to closeness and chaos to clarity.

  • Are you wondering if you have Postpartum Depression or Anxiety? Does it seem like your partner no longer “gets” you?  Do you have mixed feelings about your new responsibilities?  Anyone going through the newness of birth will benefit from sorting out parental identity, marital stressors, and family boundaries with an experienced Couples and Family Therapist.

  • Do you need to accrue several hours for licensure?  Are you interested in Couples or Family work?
I am energized to train new practitioners, and I will help you think in system—and evidence-based frameworks as you develop into the therapist you want to become.

  • Are you ready to let go of pain through acceptance?  Does your body need to learn how to breathe again so that you can slow down your mind?  Would you like to experience pleasure from small moments again, like you did as a child?  Do you want to learn how your thoughts create stress in your body? Let’s learn how to slow down your mind together so that your body, mind, and spirit feel more alive.

  • Do you feel like you are all alone as you begin a new life?  Do you feel as if your partnered friends and the rest of your family really can’t understand what you are going through?  Could you benefit from hearing how others have endured this transition?

  • Are you sick of retelling the same concerns to various healthcare providers?  Do you wish someone could coordinate the care between your other healthcare workers? I am a provider who likes to contact School Counselors, Psychiatrists, Primary Care Providers, OBGYNs, or other Therapists to understand your life outside our sessions. I initiate a team approach and make myself available to follow up with other professionals if issues arise that need outside collaboration, without a charge.

  • “Kim can often identify the root cause of how something is making me feel, which has improved my self-perception. Working with Kim has helped me learn to give myself the grace I give others. “ Megan, 40

  • “Kim Wilson has been an incredible source of support and guidance during some of the most difficult times in my life. She has helped me navigate anxiety, cope with the grief of losing my parents to cancer, and manage the challenges of everyday life. Her compassionate approach, understanding, and practical strategies have made a profound impact on my well-being. I am truly grateful for her care and expertise.” Chris, 48

  • “We are so grateful for the safe and supportive space Kim created. She is always kind, trustworthy, and empathetic in every session, which made us feel comfortable from the start. Not only has she helped us overcome some difficult times, but she has also guided us to a much healthier relationship. Relationships take work, and with Kim’s help, we were able to open up, be brave, and break patterns. We would highly recommend Kim to anyone looking to improve their relationships with their spouse, family, or themselves.” (Matt and Lauren, 33/36)

  • “My life, outlook, and attitudes have improved with Kim’s guidance. There are no words to articulate my gratitude to Kim for her support and care.” Wendy, 55

  • “My husband and I began working with Kim to help improve our communication. Kim provided each of us with a level of trust and thereby comfort, enabling us to speak openly and honestly with one another. Doing so allowed each of us to feel heard and understood. Allowing the two of us to communicate more openly, eliminated feelings of hurt and anger and brought us closer together.” Samantha 50
